Photo Preview
This page is for sample photos and elements to put in the new slider. The images will be sized smaller than the new slider, just to make sure you like the ones we have chosen.
- Elements to be showcased on the home page would be: Attractions, flowers, food, animals, and the fact that there’s something for everyone (all ages) at the farm.
- Not all of these need to be in the slider — there are blocks for “Get Lost!” and “Eat Lots!” — and both of those will have fresh new photos.
- There’s a long block for the Trail of Terror.
- At this point, we have two large/wide images for the jumping pillow and pumpkin patch. Since we have some clever new photos of attractions and photo props, I am suggesting that we replace these with blocks (2 or 3 to a row) of new fun.
- There are three circles (pumpkin patch, sand box, folks around a campfire?). I would like to replace pumpkins and sandbox with something newer.
The old slider was about 1600 x 600 px. The new slider is sized at 2200 x 640px. It’s been difficult for us to find images in your collections with a horizontal focus that are this wide. And most of the photos you have collected are a low resolution. Technology to the rescue! We now have AI software that will successfully enlarge small resolution photos — that has not been possible before. So, I have been able to take some of the smaller images and run them through Adobe FireFly or Topaz GigaPixel to enhance — with very good results.
This is a sample of a slide with what the animated overlay could be.
Photo base is field of flowers and sky. Large bunch of zinnias in middle would “rise up”.
Text overlay would appear next.
Depending on the topic, I could add some line art (a bee?).
For the slider, I am suggesting these:
- New field of zinnias with animated overlay
- Same (great) hayride image with new animated overlay
- New photo of kids in cornbox with animated overlay of “fun“. If you are tired of this one, we could do pink pigs, kids on the barrel train, little boy on the green tractor?
- New critters photo with animated overlay — Dad and little kid feeding pig?
- New pumpkins photo with animated overlay
- The giant slide: The photo you gave us with lights (now on home page) is by far the most dramatic. We did find a couple of others, but they are more suitable to be cropped as squares or retangulars — not a long panorama. We can go with a temporary photo for the slide until the perfect one crosses our path. Suggestions?
These photos are the best options to use for the slider background images.
